WHAT WE DO

Since 2007, we have celebrated diversity and multiculturalism across Prince Edward Island

Our Mission

The DiverseCity Festival was created in 2007 to celebrate diversity, Canadian Multiculturalism, to connect newcomers with established Islanders and to support settlement, inclusion, anti-racism, and retention. In 2014, the DiverseCity Festival expanded to include three Prince Edward Island communities. This year the DiverseCity Festival will be held in Charlottetown, Alberton, Summerside, Three Rivers (Montague), and Souris.

“I love the @DiverseCityPEI celebration every year. The joy and pride in our multi-faceted island community is palpable and heartening. So many Islanders of so many backgrounds, cultures, languages — it’s wonderful!”

— Senator Brian Francis —
